FaceTite: Facial Rejuvenation Without the Downtime

FaceTite’s revolutionary technology offers facial rejuvenation without the downtime

At some point, everyone begins to show the visible signs of aging. It’s simply a matter of when. As many people age, they want to look as young as they feel. Some people choose to have a surgical facelift in order to rejuvenate the face. However, not everyone wants to commit to having a surgical procedure.

Fortunately, there are non-surgical solutions available as well. An exciting new development in the field is FaceTite, which uses a device called EmbraceRF. FaceTite represents a significant advance, and Dr. Henderson feels confident in offering this treatment to her patients.

What is FaceTite?

FaceTite uses a technology called radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis (RFAL). For a FaceTite treatment, a tiny cannula is inserted under the skin through a very small incision. This allows it to be placed just below the dermis, the deeper layer of the skin. The cannula delivers radiofrequency (RF) energy into the tissues. This stimulates production of collagen and elastin, which are the structural proteins of the skin. This leads to tightening and firming of the skin. The RF energy also leads to lipolysis, which is destruction of fat tissue, in order to remove excess fatty deposits.

What issues can FaceTite address?

FaceTite works well for issues like jowls, sagging skin on the neck, and loose or sagging cheeks. For smaller areas, such as the area around the eyes or the nasolabial folds (between the nose and the mouth), the smaller AccuTite probe is used. It’s the same technology, just in a different size.

Does FaceTite work?

In general, RFAL treatments like FaceTite offer the most dramatic results that can be achieved without surgery. FaceTite represents a leap forward in technology. Previous nonsurgical treatments for the face were able to provide skin tightening, but could not address fatty deposits. FaceTite can produce improvements of around 30 to 40% in neck and jawline tightness. Patients who are seeking more than this may want to consider a surgical facelift and/or neck lift; you can discuss the various possibilities during your consultation with Dr. Henderson.

What is the recovery like?

The primary reason that many people choose FaceTite over a facelift is that they want to avoid the recovery from surgery. FaceTite is performed under local anesthesia, in order to keep you comfortable. A small puncture allows the probe to be inserted beneath the skin; there are no large incisions, and therefore no scars. The RF energy flows beween the probe and an electrode on the surface of the skin. Most patients return to work and other usual daily activities in two days.

Can FaceTite be combined with other treatments?

Some patients choose to have FaceTite on its own, but there is also the possibility of combining an RFAL treatment with other facial rejuvenation treatments. It can be performed in combination with Morpheus8, which is a radiofrequency microneedling procedure, in order to enhance the skin tightening results. Some patients receive injectables after their FaceTite procedure; FaceTite removes unwanted tissue, while fillers can add volume where it’s been lost.

Is FaceTite right for you?

Ultimately, you’re the only one who can decide whether this treatment is for you. If you’d like to learn more, we invite you to schedule a consultation with Dr. Henderson. She’ll be happy to spend the time to explain your various options to you, including both nonsurgical and surgical options (if that’s something you’re interested in exploring), so you feel empowered to decide what’s right for you.
