Fight Aging with a Mini Facelift in Scottsdale

Are you looking to refresh your face? Perhaps you feel that you’re looking a little tired and run down? A mini facelift might just be the answer for you. This procedure differs from a traditional facelift and can be a subtle way to restore your youthful glow.

Dr. Pamela Henderson believes in open and honest relationships with her patients. This is important for patients who are considering cosmetic or reconstructive procedures. You’ll find her compassionate and empathetic through every step of the process.

Am I a candidate for a mini facelift?

A fair number of patients interested in a mini facelift in Scottsdale are younger professionals under the age of forty-five. Men and women both typically show only mild sagging and drooping in their faces, with most of it to be seen in the lower face and jawline area. Skin elasticity is still quite good in this age group. Quite often only small and subtle procedures are needed to get the desired results.

A person who is in good overall health, with just minor facial sagging, could be a good candidate for a mini facelift.

Those who are over 45 and into their 50s may be good candidates for a mini facelift if they do not have much loose skin below the jaw and neck. Those who have been slim for most of their life might not have those fatty deposits that can lead to a bit of face sagging.

Be sure to speak openly to Dr. Henderson about the results that you are hoping for. It is important to have reasonable expectations for the procedure before proceeding.

What is the difference between a mini and full facelift?

There are several key differences between the mini facelift in Scottsdale and the traditional facelift procedure. Generally speaking, a mini facelift may be done with shorter incisions, and only the lower face and jawline  is lifted. This would include the area around your lower cheeks.

A traditional facelift procedure would involve additional regions of your lower neck and would involve a complete incision around the ear and more aggressive treatment to the deeper tissues.   There is often a longer recovery time with traditional facelifts. While complications risks are low in general, there are fewer potential complications with the mini facelift.

Mini facelifts result in much subtler results. They are not the right procedure for every person, particularly if you are hoping for more drastic results to restore your fresh and youthful appearance.
