Dr. Pamela S Henderson M.D., P.C throws light upon the new non surgical facial rejuvenation procedure called Ultherapy. It is an ideal option for patients who are skeptical of surgical procedures and looking for a non invasive alternative. In Ultherapy, ultrasound energy is used to stimulate collagen, lift and tone loose skin on the neck and chin as well. Dr Henderson has been successfully performing Ultherapy in Scottsdale for five years now.

Ultherapy is a very exciting and innovative technology that actually allows us to use ultrasound energy to not only treat but also visualize the treatment. It uses ultrasound energy to create micro injuries beneath the skin surface and as a result of those micro injuries, there is collagen stimulation. Overtime, as these injuries heal and the collagen forms there can be a lifting and tightening effect to the skin. And it’s a great alternative for those patients who may not be ready for a surgical procedure or are pre surgical or are maybe even looking to maintain surgical results. Patient is laid down for the procedure and generally the routine that I go through is starting under the chin on to beneath the jaw line on each side and then one cheek followed by the other and this is done at two different dabs if we’re looking at treating or lifting it tightening effect. Ultherapy is relatively new. It’s been around for few years. I personally have been using it since December of 2010 and I think what’s really exciting is it is the alternative for those patients who are looking for a non-surgical option.
